I went to Summerduck which is the closest and most convenient 1/8th mile strip around here and ran my LS1. Its a 2000 T/A Hawk, M6, edelbrock shortys, LM exhaust, factory Y and cats, 275 Bridgestone potenza's, K&N Filter, factory 3.42s.

First Run Second Run Third Run
R/T -- 1.419 R/T -- .740 R/T -- .798
60' --- 2.439 60' --- 2.252 60' --- 2.215
330 -- 6.221 330 -- 5.998 330 -- 5.934
1/8 ---- 9.254 1/8 ---- 9.006 1/8 ---- 8.922
MPH -- 81.30 MPH -- 81.71 MPH -- 82.09

I was way too nervous and just dumped the clutch between 25-2800RPMs every single time, and feather the throttle, thats why my 60' times are so horrible hence my shitty ET's. The MPH is ok, if I could just get that launch down. When I get my torque arm mount in, I'll be back this upcoming thursday with new times since I've got my launch to damn near perfection now :hyper:

Hey, your times are improving though! How is that track? We tried to get there a few years ago but we got lost and passed by a KKK rally, so we turned back around

Okay I just realized what this thread said, so let me rephrase. We got lost, stumbled upon a KKK rally, and turned around and went back to Taco Bell.

Congrats!

1st time is the most crazy!

You are progressing nicely.

It takes lots of practice.

In time you will learn the right launch rpm, tire psi, temp etc.

Best of luck!

From what i'm reading your car should run a 13.7.13.8 sec. 1/4 mile at over 102 mph. Good job. Get your 60' times down and you'll be looking at mid 13's easy (Of course I need to follow that advise myself).
