I'm about to buy my first set of wheels/tires to replace my tired factory Goodyear Eagle RS-A tires & 16" painted wheels.

I noticed that a lot of people have smaller tires/wheels on the front and larger on the back. What's the main reason for this? Is it for racing more than anything else?

My car's a daily driver, so I don't do much racing or hard driving...

mostly racing!!!! but if it's a daily driver i would stick with the original size.

i replaced my tires a few months ago and i went with BF GOODRICH KDW all the way around. they are great!!!!!

it also depends on how much cashola you wanna spend.

I think I have my mind set on the wheels/tires I want:

Boyd Coddington Magneato 17x8 wheels
General Tire UHPs 245/45ZR-17s

The UHPs have a much better wet/dry rating on the tirerack site than the factory Goodyears, with a great performance rating too... and they're cheaper. Perfect for daily driving.

I have some unused vacation pay coming my way... I think I just might treat myself!! :mel:
