My Firehawk came with the "Bilstein Ultra Performance" suspension from SLP. Does anyone have the list of what the actual parts are that comprise this package? Are these the Bilstein Heavy Duty struts?

Thanks!

those are SLP-custom valved shocks... not the same as HD.

So to replace them with the identical setup, I have to go to SLP? :dunno:

The setup consists Of all four Bilstein springs, and then the two shocks and two struts all Bilstein

The followingl list of parts came form the October 2001 High Performance Pontiac issue.
Bilstein Ultra Performance Suspension System
35mm front stabilizer Bar
21mm rear stabilizer bar
Reinforced stabilizer brackets and special end-links
Bilstein shocks, recalibrated to SLP specs
Progressive-rate front springs 223 to 448lb.-per-inch
Progressive-rate rear springs 97 to 136 lb.-per-inch
Rear trailing arms with 1LE bushings
1LE panhard bar

The springs and shocks are the same as comes in their Level 1 package. Anyone that advertises SLP realved shocks, those are the ones.
I hope this helps.

Get the Bilstein HD. They are certainly good enough for the majority of Bilstein users.

Thank you! This is exactly what I was looking for, although the current SLP (not the engineering division that built the car), has no clue what exactly was put on the car for springs. :wtf: I figure as long as I go with the progressive rate you've described, the feel should be good.

Glad to help. The springs are responsive but not overly harsh. They lowered my stock ride height about and inch or a little more.
