muffler and cut out effect sound?

Right now i have flowmasters on my car ( which i am gonna change to SLP very very shortly ) and i use the litle cut out mod. I was wondering if the muffler effects the sound even after using the cut out mod. if so i need to get a SLP muffler now :D thanks for the help guys

I'm not much help because I have wondered this too, even with my cutout on I can still feel exhaust coming from the tips so I assume it has SOME effect.
