Also i ran across the shift kit eleminator. was wondering if this was legit as well and if it works good. does it harm the car at all?

Just looked at the skip shift one. While it will work, I don't like paying $10 for a 2 cent resistor.
There are 3 options for skip shift. Leave it, have it turned off by a tuner, or get the resistor type plug. I got the plug but wish I would have just gotten it turned off.
I got the plug version though. Not just a resistor.
On the TB bypass....
It works. Sorta. Power gains are very minimal.
If your car is a daily driver and gets ran in a cold climate, I wouldn't do it. The warm coolant flows through the TB to make sure it doesn't freeze. Just a GM piece of engineering.
I have done it myself. I didn't feel like making it myself (which is cheaper and pretty easy) so I ordered the kit from Pace Performance for $12 or whatever.

Everyday driver??
How cold does it get?
Most likely will be okay. Won't feel a difference though like that auction mentioned. The only thing you gain is a slightly cooler air charge. Not enough to make much of a difference.

Probably a little power in the lower RPM's. But it should have picked up power in the upper RPM's.
TB bypass should be fine. Does it often drop into freezing temps in the winter??
