I don't think the gain of an LSX over the LS6 you have now is worth the $$

I bought an LS2 intake, it has a stock opening for a 90mm TB, it was about 250$ from scoggin-dickey i also went with a 90mm TB, the LSX intake w/ 90mm opening is WAY too much almost 900$

Depends. Stock cubes??? LS6 intake with ported TB. You would see a bit more power with the Fast set-up, but not enough to make it worth the jump.
Stroker?? Fast 90/90. Worth the money on the bigger motors.

If you plan on making your engine breathe heavy (forced induction, aftermarket heads, high lift cam, etc.) I wouldn't bother with the lsx intake. It is a good design and worth the money, but as stated before, only if the motor is worthy of it. I wouldn't bolt it onto a stock ls1.

One of the hotrod magazines.. i forget which one but it had a picture of the chevelle foose did on overhaulin as the cover. It was trying to push the most HP it could out of an LS2 and found the LS6 intake worked better over the LS2 intake and LSX worked best, but only gained 4HP throughout the RPM Range... The LSX only really helps if you have Turbo, SC, or a stroked engine. Head and Cam Pkg don't show a gain worth purchasing over the LS6 manifold.

But if you port match the LSX to your ported heads, you will see definite gains over the LS1/6/&2.
But,as stated above, unless you plan on seriously modding your motor the LS6 intake w/ a ported TB will be fine.
