Hi all,

I'm new around here and thought I'd introduce myself with some shots of my car. I went out tonight and took a few in between rain showers. I tried to post the shots on here but it says I need to make five posts so here's the first. Anyway, the car is a 2004 Pulse Red GTO and I love it. I'll show everyone the shots when I get 5 posts.

Let's see, I've had the car for about 2 weeks and it now has about 12.5k miles. There aren't any mods and I don't really have any plans to change it. I like the stock hood pretty well because it's more understated. The wheels could be upgraded to the 18" 2005 version but I doubt I'll change them. Since it's a Pulse Red and they only made 792 I'm going to keep it pretty much stock. If I do anything I'll upgrade the brakes to the 05/06 discs and calipers and get the skip shift eliminator.

Yeah, but I hope to have this car 30 years from now. It might seem stupid and my feelings might change but I want to keep it stock.

Thanks for the comment about the avatar!

my bud has a 1 of 300 cobra and he's planning on supercharging it... my vette is fairly rare... might be sitting about the same level as your goat and the only thing holding me back is cash...

its your car, but im one to say stock is never good enough... and the gto has a too much of a relaxed look in my opinion, but can be woken up and can be made into a nice agressive looking car. unfortunately when you go to a gto meet its looks like a pontiac car lot...

and in 30 years do you really think youll have the original motor and original body panels? count on an engine swap and atleast one wreck in that time frame...

its your car... enjoy it as you want... if you ever decide you want to spice it up a lil... pm me... ive been looking for an excuse to look up gto parts...

If I did anything drastic it would be to add a supercharger. Just something about 170 extra HP at the wheels that's exciting enough to make me leave the bone stock category. Unfortunately I don't have a ton of money to do that so I guess it will be stock until it gets paid off at the soonest.

Nice car. I just did the same thing 2 days ago. Here is mine. Sorry about the size I took them for desktop backgrounds.

That's a sweet shot and I love the color. When I decided to get a goat I had four colors that I thought were cool and blue was one of them. One thing you might want to do if you get a chance and have Photoshop is remove the wires above the car. It shouldn't take more than 5 minutes and would make the hillside look more natural. Thanks for posting the shot!

These care are fast enough stock (although you can never go too fast!), take the speed limiter off and go 175 is way fast enough for me. But exhaust with a little more rumble and something to take away the torque management will do me just fine.

i would def. do a lil somethin to that goat.. its never really gunna be a classic like that.. but if u do chose to enjoy it while u can, do it the right way. make sure you do everything needed that goes along with the supercharger... other then that. keep the body stock..

Hey bud, welcome to the PULSE RED club. I did a few mods on mine, hood, mudflaps,HSV tail lights and Autocross grills, but the things i changed can be changed back. I kept all the original equipment in the basement in the boxes if i ever want to change it back, it can be done easily.
Since the Pulse Red was originally intended to be the 40th anniversary edition.... i didnt want to go too radical. I disagree with the statement above. I do think these will be about as collectible as the earlier Impala SS's. I'm thinking that there will be some collectibility for these even though Pulse Red is NOT the rarest color. That distinction i believe belongs to Cosmos Purple.

I'm not sure if it will be worth a lot more in the future but I do think it would be more collectible than the Cosmos purple model. I might do some engine mods after the car is out of warranty. Perhaps a cam and exhaust change but not until some money is freed up!

Nah, just someone that takes photos for fun. Thanks for the nice words though. I need to get out and shoot some more here in the near future.
