Hey guys.....just needed to know if you guys think this is a good deal on this car.....1999 Z28...Its pewter which is now currently having a new paint job (got keyed), says the Black leather interior is flawless, T-tops...has B&M Short shifter, SLP lid and Exhaust, Z06 clutch and upgraded master and slave...new water pump and new tires on the Black Zr1's.....the thing that gets me is that it has 97.5k miles....says it runs perfect tho....so is 8800 dollars a good deal on this car? Might be buying it soon so I would really appreciate the feedback...thanks

It's fair, as long as the mileage doesn't bother you. The $$ isn't bad though

I don't have a prob with 100k, but a LOT of people will come in here and tell you that's too much. I bought my 97 LT1 with close to 100 and ran it up to 182 before selling it. no major problems with that one :dunno: My 99 has 53000

hah, will it be your only car? I have mine as a weekend driver and less than 1500 miles a year on insurance and it's CHEAP, it works because I have another car on the same policy that i claim as my daily driver

I bought an SS a little less than 2 years ago with 70k on it, now I am approaching 100k. I think I have some routine maintenance issues brewing, but other than that my car runs great. I replaced the clutch, master and slave cylinders at 90k, and that was the only problem I've really had with the car since I bought it. If this has already been done for you, then I think the price sounds good. As long as you feel comfortable with the cars history go for it.

I'd keep looking and I wouldn't let the mods persuade you to buy those miles. I bought my '00 Z28 a year and 1/2 ago...black paint (some flaws, minor surface scratches), leather interior (very slight cracking), t-tops, and body kit with 46,700 miles. Bought it for 11,995 with a 3 month warranty. Definitely get a warranty for at least 3 months so if there's any problems they neglected to fix (like my water pump was leaking but sealed and didn't know till a year later, alternator was replaced, brakes were replaced, and bushings & links).
The best deal I've ever saw was a flawless red '01 SS with the Y3F body kit, 6-speed, leather interior, t-tops, exhaust, and C6 rims for $13,995. 2 grand over what I could afford.

that sounds like a decent deal, but really just test drive it and check it out yourself. so much depends on the present and previous owners. if you feel good about the car...if it runs strong and is in sufficient shape for you...then go for it.
