I've got a 00 SS with the 6spd and i'm about 500 miles short of 100k. The check engine light has come on and gone away twice now within the past month and it feels like it's boggin' down alot more now than she used to. What kinds of things should I expect to have changed at the 100k mark. I bought the car with 70k on it and most of the miles on the car are hwy...any suggestions?
OK i would change spark plugs, wires definitly, the fuel filter, and then the air filter. those are must i think. and maybe 02 sensors if you want to.

The SES is trying to let you know what's going on - see if there's a history code for the light, most stay stored for 40 cycles.

clean up your sensors, and new plugs, maybe a new timing chain.
its not a carburatedmotor that has to get tuned regularly, but a good
tune up with a programmer will defenetly help, specialy, if you run pul fuel.

O and reset your ecu after you do the tune up. i did a tune up in my z and its surprisinly stronger but i also added an slp lid.. lol For plug number 8 you should get it from underneath the car its alot easier trust me.. and the other plugs i managed to get to from under the hood.

Ditto with most of what the others have written. However, the timing chain should be fine. As far as getting that #8 from underneath, if you still have your stock cats you'd have to have a little itty-bitty wimpy arm to reach around the cat up to the #8 plug.
