ok heres the deal i wash my car once during the week usually on thursday and by saturday its dirty with pollen n dirt i have heard of using wax but im not too big on waxing (time consuming) so i would like to know if there is any less time consuming wax out there that repels pollen n dust out there for instance my gf has a black mazda 6 it just came out the shop they used some kinda wax that keeps the black lookin clean for a long time last friday last time i washed my car and by today her car still looks jet black and mine all full of pollen n dirt and i washed my car again on this past sunday

i just got big on the turtle wax ice... i have a black car and its the best its looked in awhile. I waxed it for the first time last week and its still clean. very impressed with this wax. takes about 20 minutes no joke. i rub the wax all over the car and then wipe it down and then buff it with a different towel. easy as cake. and surprisingly it shines better then others and hides alot of small blemeshes and scratches. i love it. for 16 bux i say try it and you'll see.

The guywho owned my car before me said he put 12 coats of liquid glass on it, it looks great even when its mildly dirty, and is always shiny. You should look into it.

Keep it in the garage and get a little beater to drive on rainy days

Twelve coats... Arf!
I gotta tell my brother, he thinks that his three coats (+) is the greatest thing ever... he claims he can drive the dust off. We both use the Liquid Glass, and I gotta tell you it lasted over a year on the wifes car, my Z gets a coat every two weeks...

Liquid Glass on 4 black cars for me. :yup: Absolutely love the stuff. Between my Dad and I, we've been using it since '86.

CALIFORNIA DUST MOP:lol:
I fricking second that!! It is a must for every
dark colored car. I had a black grand prix and now have the red t/a.
I use that duster everyday without fail.
I also like the liquid glass polish. However, if you have swirls, don't put it on, they will show even worse. Take out the swirls then use the glass.
Get a duster now!

Eagle One Wet is my favorite for a Black car...... They don't make it anymore. But can still be found at discount stores. I don't have a Garage and didn't have a car cover till recently. So the car just sat out. Waxed with the wet and detailed and have taken class winner trophies in the last 2 shows I have entered!!! Thank goodness I still have 3 1/2 bottles of the stuff!!! :slash:

There is NO polish, wax or sealer that will repell dust. Even Zaino (which I use) which states its Z6 and Z8 repells dust is not 100% dust free. A lot less dust is collected but not dust free.

Using a Califonia Duster everytime you drive the car is key. Make sure the car is polished always helps since the surface is smooth and slick.

Last months Consumer Reports magazine did test on a slew of waxes and rated "Black Magic" liquid a #1 for shine and endurance. I got me a bottle, but haven't used it yet...been rainy as hell here lately...:shower:

Use zaino only, and Z6 for a quick detail.

you could always vacuum seal the car up in plastic, that way it will never get dirty. Problem SOLVED!

my black looks good when using meguiars clear coat hand wax...takes a while and must be done in the shade.....makes my swirls go away and hides scratches..time for new paint......previouse owner drove it for 14 k and said he never washed ut but twice a week drove it through the car wash....what a dip shit....but it dosent look that bad...only when you wash with crappy soap but wax clears it all up.

Any auto parts store should have it .. its made by the company "Stoner" mine came in an aerosal can which foams. Works wonders on chrome rims .. cleanem good sprayem down two times. wipem clean.. then hittem with a dust mop or clean dry cloth every day or two to keep them spotless.

your car isnt going to wash itself or keep itself clean .. if you want the shine you gotta do the time!:true:

I used to use Liquid Glass, I like the results of it. But remember it is a petroleum based product, so every "new" coat is going to remove the previous. LG does not layer. I've been using Zaino now for 9years. Try it you'll like it, Mikey does!!!

I just learned of a solution for keeping black or any other color car cleaner looking longer. Have A coat of Rainx applied after Wash and dried. the cost about four bucks additional.
