Hardtop here, and it's been killing me since I got it. The last one was t-top, and I have to admit, I miss em. I like the structural stability of the hardtop though, I've been contemplating putting a t-top headliner in, cutting the fiberglass skin off, and having a sheet of safety glass cut to fit. Lots of leg work there, not to mention cost, so who knows if it'll happen.

Hard top here too! My last two Camaro's were T-top and I do miss T-tops a little. But I love my SS and won't trade it for anything, except maybe a 5th gen someday.

My first was a hardtop, till I cut t-tops in it. This one is a hardtop too, can't decide if I will leave it or cut them in it too. My top is VERY metallic black to match the metallic in my blue and I like it alot, I hate to lose that just to have glass up there like everyone else

Hardtop here also... I know it makes the body more rigid but seeing as how I have a lot of body work to do, I was thinking about cutting the T-tops in because I just moved from WI to AZ and it's hot here.
How difficult is it to do and has anyone done it exactly as the factory did? Is that even possible? Any tips/suggestions/opinions are appreciated.
Oh, and i would deff install subframe connectors or an x-brace and possibly a cage if I did go with the t-tops to regain rigidity. Motor is a 382 stroker that still needs aftermarket heads and intake but is running off stock parts for now... more power = more money = need better job.

You'd never know the factory didn't install them. It's VERY easy, the entire job takes less than a day. There are several good writeups online, just search the forums here and you'll find some links with pics to help you out. Some of the guys who did writeups left it where you could see that they had done bodywork, but I and 1 or 2 others smoothed it out so good it flooks factory. Subframe connectors are highly recommended especially since you are building the engine. Just remember this thread and/or my ame and if you get into it and need something hit me up. Also graphicsgod from thsi site has done it and I'm sure he'd try to give you any info you need also

Whats "asr"? I don't have a rear defogger either... I think there are very few SS Camaros out there like mine, though i may be totally wrong. I'm second owner, orig owner ordered my '00 NVB SS w/o any options, just a 6-speed and SLP options of ZR1 wheels, front mats, dash plaque, key fobs and Synthetic lubes... he wanted to go as old school as he could like the Yenkos, NiKys, Bergers, ect. being plane jane camaros with big motors but stripped down to save weight for racing
