Obviously not a popular opinion, I feel that quiet is better than loud. I like to hear my music without having to crank it up to ear-splitting levels. Plus, I really don't want to disrupt the whole neighborhood everytime I pull into my garage.
Anyway, without having to debate whether loud or quiet is better could anyone help with suggestions on creating a quiet ride without suffering a performance penalty?

The quietest free flowing stock exhaust has to be the SLP’s Powerflow Dual/Dual found on the Firehawk and the opted SS Camaro. Very low rumble at idle and sweet sound at WOT, but not loud, it had to pass EPA standards for noise level, it was the best flowing muffler SLP could find at the time without compromising performance.

SLP's DD exhaust will do what you want. The muffler that came stock on the Firehawk is extremely quiet. The DD catback you buy from SLP is a little bit louder but still very calm compared to a lot of systems available.

You could get the Borla with the adjustable plates. If you use the block off plate on the passenger side it will run it through the muffler or if you change your mind, change the plate and wake up the neighborhood......
