Can I use OEM Shocks with Eibach Pro-Kit?

I will be buying some aftermarket shocks but for right now will they work or will I have problems?

I would change them at the same time. They are not meant for the spring rates of the Eibach's.

You will have problems, they will wear out really fast and it'll ride uncomfortably...you can buy a cheap set of Bilstein HD shocks, I like those.

You can do it but it's not the best scenerio. But hey, it's your ride. :wtcslap:

The stock shocks are designed to travel within the distance of the stock spring and ride height. So if you put lowering springs in, then the shock doesn't travel all the way it was intended for-- thus compression and rebound react differently.

Not only that, for the front you'll end up performing the same job twice instead of once. Remember you have to remove the spring in order the replace the shock.

My advice would be to change the springs and shocks at the same time. I recommend Bilstein, my set was revalved for Eibach's pro-kit lowering springs.

Can you buy the bilsteins for the prokit?

I got mine from Jordan at Street Trends (http://www.streettrendsinc.com/). Contact him about what you're looking to do. :yup: The shocks are revalved from bilstein.

Also another word of advice; get the lower control arm relocation brackets! Once you lower your car the rearend geometry changes enough to make your ride rough on bumps.:bump: The LCA's should be parallel to the ground, but when you lower your car you'll see a steep angle has been applied. I didn't think it would be a big deal and lowered my car without them initially, didn't like the bounce and thud when going over dips and what not down the road. Got some brackets installed and it greatly improved the ride. :luvlove: I have weld in ones from UMI, but you can also get bolt in ones from BMR. Bolt ons cost more but no welding and they're powder coated. Your choice.:umm:

get some revalved bilstein for the front and HD for the rear... will work great...
