I'm looking to do some stuff to my SOM SS but I dont know what would look good on it. I'm thinking of the hood scoop decal, or the corvette racing stripes on the driver's side front fender...if anyone has any pics of their SOM SS, post em!!

ahhh no stripes down the side you'll regret it. If i were you i would paint the Hood scoop black and the berger panel black and she'll look sexy as ever

I've only done rims and chrome lettering on the back. I do think the manta decal looks good on the SS hoods. Great choice of color btw.

gorgeous...are you talking about the grand stripe sports? then you would be talking about my dream car...SOM with grand sport stripes in black + black wheels like torque thrust IIs. beautiful car!

Thanks guys, I think after the AFR's I will put a roll bar in it and get it painted SOM also just to be different. Oh and I still have to finish my calipers, only did the fronts lol.

I was thinking about doing the gunmetal TTIIs with polished calipers, with the manta stripe on the hood going all the way back to the spoiler (the Dale Earnhardt stripe) and the berger panel to set off the stripe....

that would look pretty amazing. gunmetal TTIIs would be simply awesome. for me its a toss up between a manta stripe and hockey stripes...i don't think you can go wrong on your car.

Tough color to work with in terms of mods. The color is dynamic, so I find that stripes kind of takes the wind out of the color if the choice isn't right IMO. But do experiment.

I would recommend that you do your best to bang out the most from the paint, and then plan how you want to update your changes.

Good luck! Don't overdue it w/ this color though....
