a buddy of mine just bought a '05 GTO about two months ago .... being that i have a '01 ss he has been naggin me since the day he brought it home about racing him, which is cool but its all about timing. my truck is my primary vehicle, car stays at my shop and i normally work nights..etc. etc....well earler today while at the shop, I was cleaning out my truck when i heard what sounded like my friends mustang ended up being Chris in his GTO. (my radio in the truck was on). i knew that he came over to race.... well after letting the car warm up i procided to follow him only to kill it going over the speed bumps (at this point i was so nervous not knowing if i would be able to beat his 6.0). this is how it went.. 15 mph punch,I spun threw mid second, pulled him about a car lengh in third- fouth by the time i hit 5th(4.10) i saw him at my door. second race was a 30 punch i was already in second i went on his move. i quickly jump out ahead of him again pulling on him in third threw fouth gear only to let out for traffic. i guess i pissed him off he didnt even follow me back to the shop,or return my calls.. sorry Chris

Well looks are subjective I happen to like the looks of the GTO that could be one of the reasons I bought one.

ok, z06-snob, you got a bad ass engine, it's probably tuned right but the wheels on your car look retarded.

anyway, it's obvious the GTO owner has nothing on the SS mod-for-mod and the SS didn't blow him out of the water, he only kept him at his door. Way to be a DICK. :hifinger:

4.10 normally, yes would've help me out...but, given the crapy road we raced on and the fact i still have the factory goodyear F1's i honestly think that the 3.42's would've been better, being that i wasted 1st and 2nd spinning. and yes his GTO is bone stock
