Any experts out there tell me if a diablo 2 hand held will yield you the same results as paying someone 500.00 to tune your cars computer? It seems to me if the results are within 2 or 3 horsepower then why not buy the diablo so you don't have to keep paying when you do other mods. Anybody got first hand expereience at this?
Thanks,

People pay someone on a dyno to tune their car because they don't want to spend countless hours tuning it themselves.
A tune is only as good as the TUNER (person).
The advantage of a Diablo over a dyno tune is that when you change mods, you can keep tuning without paying extra $$. Plus, you don't need a laptop.
For more advanced tuning use something like HPtuners. Same price as Diablo (roughly), WAY more capability.
In order to accurately tune a car, you'll need HPtuners ($500-650) AND a wideband (like LC-1 for $200).
If you plan on tuning your own car, make sure you're willing to spend at least 40 hours reading and 20 hours tuning AT A MINIMUM.
