I was consitering getting some drag radial for my 99Z28 6spd. I would only use these when i go to the track as i am scared of what daily use of them will do to my 10 bolt. Since i would need new rear rims for the car for the DRs how big should i go? Since i will only use the rims at the track i dont care what they look like. Anyone know where i can get dirt cheap rims?
Also what kind of improvement would you think in the 1/4 with a basically stock car.

I have two 17x8.5 C5 Wagon wheels I'll sell for cheap. Shipping may be a bit expensive though. Manufacturer recommends nothing wider than a 255, but a lot of people fit 275 nitto's (they run a bit smaller) on 17x8.5 wheels without problems. The call would be yours though.
Its hard to tell how much they would help you. Once you got good at it, quite a bit.

I use Nittos for daily driving. They actually wear quite well and grip pretty well in the rain. If you want some wheels/tires strictly for the track, I have a set of ET Streets for sale: http://ls1.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20965
