My girlfriend and I met a guy at ocean city during crusin weekend, he has a collectors addition ta ws6. The guy was telling me that he was running 12.94 stock?? posible or not? My Girlfriends CETA stock ran 13.33 not at sea level? both are automatic. Can sea level make that difference?
Atmospheric conditions can make a hugh difference in performance. Density Altitude (DA) is calculated with air temp, humidity, barometer, dew point, and track elevation to arrive at a number in feet above or below sea level. If I make a run in 90 degree heat, high humidity and low barometer in the summer verses a run on the same track in late fall or early spring where the temp is 50 degrees with high barometer and low humidity, my car can vary as much as .5 in a quarter mile. Some cars are significantly effected and some are not. Look at how much NHRA Pro Stock cars vary from track to track (Englishtown NJ vs Denver CO).

yes, the air density (based on humidity and elevation) will make a huge diff
i think the NHRA uses different race fuels to combat those effects, i could be wrong just guessing
