Haven't been on the forum in a while and it looks like things have changed, at least my post count was erased. Anyway, a long time ago there was a discussion about putting the top down while traveling, and some guy said he regularly puts his top down at 60kmh. Supposedly there was a video and that video was going to be posted to prove it. Does anyone recall if this video was ever posted? I would still like to see this for myself.

Not sure on the answer, but what's the point? :dunno: I'd rather pull over and put the top down (or up) and lose a second or two of getting down the road. I do know I was able to put the top up while still moving the other day cuz I was getting rained on and started the top up while doing about 10mph untile it was over the car and I then stopped to snug it down. Other than that, I wouldn't push it...

I thought you had to have it in park to put it down, true? I'm sure you could bypass it, but why would you?

The Mustang is the one that requires you to put it in park before raising the roof. Not the Camaro or Firebird.

Nothing about that sounds like a good idea.

Never knew that. Mustang wins the brains battle on this one

I remember that on ls1tech also but never saw the video either. Crazy if you ask me. Sounds like someone was :shots: just a lil too much lol. Well if you find it let me know, I'd like to see it for shits and giggles.

i remember that conversation... Bill was supposed to film my car doing it.
I open.close the top at highway speeds... just pull to the right lane and make sure i'm a bit under 100km/h... There has never been a video, but after 6 years, the top is still great with open/close at pretty much any speeds.
If anyone has followed me on the highway and it stopped/started raingin, chances are you've seen me open/close it at those speeds.
