Alright guys this is how it is .....my budget is exactly 8 thousand dollars.....i want to keep my car original and only change the rims...but thats from a different budget......anyways I have 110000 miles on my car and i want to rebuild with a head and cam package, a new rearend, and rebuild my transmission......my final goal is to have a daily driven minimum 400 rwhp 400 rwtq ......my car is also already a 6 speed......is this going to be possible and what is the best route to go any suggestions on heads...cams ....rearends etc.

Congrats on the guards also. I joined after I served regular time. My advice is to use the college bennies too.

with a 6 speed this should be feasable even with out heads, and easily with heads you could make those #'s. You need to figure out what kind of power range etc you want with the cam, there are plenty available that will make the power you desire.

I also joined the guard about 3 months ago after serving on active for 3 years in the 82 ABN DIV. With and 8K budget you should have no problem achieving 400rwhp. Heck, all u need is bolt on's and a 125 shot and u can get that for less than $1500. My car has just over 100K miles on it too and runs very strong but the clutch probably isn't going to hang on much longer. U might want to set aside 450 for a new one also.

I'll be joining the guard when I get out soon in two months. I'll be getting 20k, half up front. Why not go with a supercharger or turbo?

4 Turbonators placed one in front of the other = 100 hp and should only cost $19.95 a piece:hmm:

i dont think 8k is gonna be enough for all of that. you need to figure out exactly what you want. If you skip the rebuild and get heads, cam, and a rearend along with all associated parts, you should have a pretty happy motor. The tranny may or may not need a rebuild. If its a m6, then id do the clutch and hydraulics too. Suspension is something you may wanna look into doing also. Do you have any mods yet? What are the ultimate goals? just to hit that peak power?
