Noise when clutch is disengaged

When ever my clutch is out and im in nuetral i hear a slight grinding noise but when i put it in gear it stops.. does ne one else's 6spds do this too?? it drives great but it makes that noise when my clutch is dissengaged sounds like rocks loose???

Yep, mine does (or did until the rebuild) the same thing. How many miles on the car (tranny)? How loud is the noise? Do you have to sit with the windows up to hear it, or can you hear it if you let the clutch out in neutral while moving?

If the car has a lot of miles, it's possible that it's the bearings in the tranny yelling at you. Another possibility is that if you have a poly transmission mount or an aftermarket shifter, more noise may be transferring up into the car.

yea it has 77xxx miles on it. but yea i think its because of my shifter mostly.
