Anybody have Nexen or Sumitomo tires?

Curious if anyone has any Nexen or even heard of them? or Sumitomo tires? I plan on getting tires for my 1995 trans am 17" front and 18" rear C5 rims and I was told the Nexen are rated higher than the Sumitomo. in the ZR high performance tires. Curious if any one has them and would suggest one or the other. Thanks

i run the sumitomo HTR+ 275/40-17 on my black car. really nice. heard of, but haven't used the nexen.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm going with the Sumitomo as well. I hear they're pretty nice and a lot of people like them.

i just got Sumitomos i'm no expert but they hook up nice. do great in the rain look nice and the price is right, i would highly reccomend them :yup:

I too have Sumitomo's, bought them because of $ restraints, but have had no complaints. Wear is consistant, and traction is great.

i got nexens on my ws6 and they hook up pretty good.

I just got my zo6 wheels, and they came with the sumitomo tires and i couldnt be happier! After they're warmed up, they hook up pretty nice and they're alot quieter and alot nicer ride than my old tires. They're also pretty good in wet weather against hydroplanning and spinning off the line. ( i drive with the tcs off so i just wanted to test'em out ) But as far as when your turning in the rain forget it! Like i said i drive with the tcs off and as my freind and i easily found out that just tapping the gas on my car and the rear end breaks those 18's loose real quick, we went into a turn going sideways and it was pretty badass.

:yup:Sumitomos here: Running 17x9/275-40-17(front)and17x11/315-35-17(rear)They hook fairly well and wear decent,can't beat the price
