I've decided to get a C5 for my next car, I've been driving a 3000GT VR4 for the past year and I dont realy like the 3.0L and 4000lbs it has to offer. Boost is nice but annoyingly not there when I want it to be. I'm confident that I can sell the car for 14000 and have time to shop around for a good deal but I need to know how much I need to save up or take out of investments to get a deecent C5, I'd like a car with less than 75k miles and in good shape mechanicaly. I live in Mass but dont know where to look other than autotrader and the want ads. How much do you think it would cost to get a vette like that in my area?

Well you waited just a bit too long for those winter deals,,,,I sold my c4 and about a month ago bought my 99c5,,,i got really lucky,,,6 speed with only 34,000 miles,,,,for $17800,,,,heres the kicker,, I bought it from a 75 year old woman!!! The thing is mint! I found it on cars.com,,,,i was just on there yesterday,,it seems like the deals are thinning out, but there are still a few left. Good luck!

Low 20K to mid 20K depending on the year for sound C5s. r1onewheel's deal is certainly not common. Would recommend 2001 or newer for the horsepower increase. Having driven a 3000gt VR4 in the past, and having owned a 99 FRC C5; you will not be disappointed in the C5. Happy hunting.
