killed my tourqe arm, and clutch, and lost to a stealth...

comeing back from the mall i got lined up with some guy in a blue stealth... the car seemed all stock i couldn't see any new exhuast or anything... the revs sounded stock (no huge turbo sound or blow off valve sound)...

so the light turns green and i take off pretty good untill i hit 2300 rpm or so... my wheels start to spin really bad and the tire start to hop so i do a quick 2nd gear shit with my engine now hitting rev limiter... damn... the back end slams hard as hell my clutch sticks about 3/4 of the way down to the floor but i keep on it and he has about a half car length on me now...

slowly my car starts to slow down and i just let off the gas and coasted a bit... at this point he had 1 1/2 - 2 car lengths on me...

my girlfriend said "what the hell was that bang?! i thought we got rear ended!"

so i take my car to my garage and jack it up and check all my bushings, and realise there is a piece of my tourqe arm pushed out to the side... i snapped the damn thing right by the bolt... the one closest to the pumkin ball... so i popped it out (took for ever pissed me off had to go get a 21mm socket for the pos) and i broke the last bolt hole on the top and bottom...

damn it... i got :Owned: by my own car....

end of the night...

Z06 clutch :Owned: me...

TQ arm :Owned: me

and a stock stealth :Owned: me...

my car will be gettin fixed on thursday... the it's :drivin: time... damn it...

Upgrade it. Spohn makes a prety nifty race torque arm that should keep that car pointed strait :D

i ordered a BMR TQ arm last night... my rear is slopping back and forth... and when i go up an embankment it makes my spings sqeak and crap... i can't wait to see the difference this one makes over the stock... i never thought that i'd kil it... i hope it didn't do any thing to my tranny or rear...

it was embarassing as hell also when i was just sitting at a dunkin doughnuts parking lot waiting for my clutch to cool down enough that the peddle stopped sticking... :rant:
