Today I ordered an LS7 clutch kit for my SS. Should be able to handle anything I throw at it.:beer:

Isnt that the clutch out of the new zo6 505 horsepower corvette?

Yes it is! It's a great clutch too, it's smoothe and grabs like a monster.

That's a pretty good guestimate of it's power holding potential.

Fred Bean has the cheapest setup that I know of. $457 for the kit.

If you didn't know, when you install the clutch/flywheel assy, at first, the clutch pedal will disengage really close to the floor. Dont freak out. After a couple hundred miles, it will self- adjust and the pedal will be back up around stock, if not a tic lower than stock.

You are 100% correct about the pedal engagement! The LS7 clutch kit is the best bang for the buck in clutches for almost any LS1 short of a full out race car.

i think I may have to change to this setup soon, my spec 3 is very chattery around the street. I heard that you must switch to an ls2 flywheel as well, this is correct?
