hair dryer to loosen glue and pull off slowly, otherwise they may snap. That's how I took mine off

Or take a peice of fishing line, run it under the "Trans Am" letters or whatever molding or decal you want to remove... work it by and fourth using the fishing line to cut through the adhersive backing.
You can use denatured achol to remover the remaining glue left behind.

Fishing line works great, dental floss will work in a pinch but breaks a lot more often. Goo Gone will also get rid of excess glue.
E bay sells the new emblems for about 20 bucks per emblem. $40 for both sides. It's also a lot easier to put on all straight as they come placed in plastic that you peel off the backing and just press on. The emblems look a lot better than the decals some get to place on their existing tone on tone emblems.
