I gotta say there's many things I love about my car but I gotta say the color of my car seems to always put a smile on my face. I am installing Afr heads, fast 90/90 and a ls7 clutch soon so I'm sure my smiles will be bigger when I turn the key lol. So tell us what puts a smile on your faces. Btw I'll be selling my MMS stage 2 heads cheap soon people so let me know if anyone's interested. Prolly let em go for 700.00 with 918 springs and comp pushrods. Later everyone.

I just bought my '01 black SS m6 vert about a month ago and I get a smile every time I take her out.:drivin: I'm still getting used to the car as its the first LS1 I've owned and even though its stock it's still a ton of fun!:yup:

I smile every time I start it up. I smile every time somebody does the ol double take. Evey night I get off work and drive her home with top down. I get a huge grin when I see mustangs tryin to get away from it. Every time a mustang owner looks at my car I smile. They just know it's cool. I smile the most when my 5yr old son asks if we can take the vert when we go somewhere. I smile when all his teachers look at me picking him up from school too. I get woried tho too. My son tells me all the time he can't wait to get big enough to drive it. Cross that bridge later.

My son is only 2 1/2 and tells me it's his car not mine lol.:Ohno: I'm like you I don't even wanna think about his lil wild self driving it one day. OH and my wife was due today with our second one (girl) so if she's anything like her Mom I won't have to worry about her liking the car lol.

Yeah my little one(oldest 4yrs) refers to the SS as the fast car. Both her and my 2 year old love to drop the top and drive fast meaning tapping the gas to where it will snap u back. Have to let off quick and hit brakes because I dont have rollcage.I dont take any chances when I have them in the car.I love my color NBM and the rumble it has. Only us vert owners understand the feeling of having one.

Having owned a '99 hardtop SS before this, I thought it would get old after a few months.

That was almost three years ago.

Driving around on the perfect sunny day where it is not too hot and not too cold. Also, watching ppl decide if the color of the car is stock or it has been repainted. Since BPM is the rarest color to have on a fbody.

I love being stuck in traffic and then putting the top down and watching all the stares from people, then theirs always one in the bunch that rolls their window down and says, what car is that  I also love when a hot chick asks me to take her for a ride and I look over and say, you wanna go topless?? Usually takes them a few seconds to figure it out...

My ten year old grandsons cannot get enough seat time and my 3 year old grandsons want to see and touch the Camaro is everytime they come over. That is two sets of twins. They are the best reason to have a 99 Z-28 convertible with 360RWHP. Just wonder if there will be anything left for me after retirement.

I would have to that what I love best about my vert is that there really isnt a lot of them around here, as far as F bodies go. That and crusing around with the top down. I get a lot of looks with the rollcage in there as well, and a lot of compliments:D

OK Lets try again!!
The pics are current to last weekend and show the car gutted, the new steering position and pedals. We moved the floor back about 60mm to get extra leg room on the new drivers side. The tailights are modified to allow an amber indicator light same shape as the reverse light. Lots of work not for me but a mate who has done this for years, its my fourth Fbody and hopefully should be ready by summer....Thanks for the interest. Rgds Ken

Thats easy, I have the only one in the country....

How did you find that out? Its a fairly big country.. run the DMV or something? Congrats none-the-less... considered getting one when I spent the 2 days deciding what I wanted... but found the T-top first.

Yeah, Its not that hard, you have to have a "compliance" plate to convert the car from left to right so its fairly easy to find out thru govt sources whos got one and who doesnt. Answer is no-one has one at the moment but thats what we are heading towards with this car. Once it is approved you can bring in others of the same year model.I know there is a collectors edition T Top here from some one who had lived in the States but definately no Hawk 2002 and no convertibles.

The SOM vert I only sold because the insurance tripled on me when I moved to FL form WI.

The 35th LE only had 4k miles on it and my wife and I used the money to buy into her company.(good investment) A dealer from CT bought it from us on e-bay. Now he want's $5k more than I sold it to him for it.

Hoping to keep the white 01.

I've had the car for about 6 years. I still love driving it daily. I too love the color and most of all, I like knowing I have one of only 63 BGM verts made.

I haven't really done much to the car over the years other than keeping it clean, ZR1s, lid, muffler, and 3.73s. I am considering a berger panel though.

This is the first vert I've owned and i'm glad i went with one. I was looking for a t-top car when a deal on a 99 SS vert came up I couldn't refuse. It's a keeper I love driving on clear nights with the top down. I like the attention a red vert gets. All in all I just love the car even with the top up. It's so much better then my 95 Z28 with t tops was.

Ya know its kinda funny when you pull up to some stangs & watch em scatter like cockroaches . They may be driving around with their chest out around some ricers but you let a Z/28 or a Trans AM come into the picture & watch em slouch & turn tail & try to be invisible . They know ! You just don't tug on Super Man's cape & you sure as hell don't challenge an " LS1 " . Like the man said , blow em away with the top down is like throwing salt in their wounds & I love it.
