Like the title. Which wire is for the steering wheel controls?
Its 2001 ws6, with the monsoon system.
The reason I ask is, I have a aftermarket HU, a JVC KD-AVX1, and it has a wire in the back thats labeled OE Remote, I just noticed it today when i was fixing a loose wire. I looked it up, and its for cars equipped with steering wheel controls. Thats all it said though. I want to hook it up to whatever wire in the car is for the controls just to see if by some miracle it will work.
Thanks,
Matt

Any hu with a plug in for steering wheel controls would need to be programmed somehow, so I would read more before you even attempt it. I know the AVX-1 does not work with the PAC-SWI-x steering wheel control interface(is one listed on the PAC site). There are so many differences between different cars, even the PAC interface needs resistors etc to work with different cars.

thanks for the replies.
I did look into it more. There is a adapter needed. I think soundgate makes it. REMOTE3 is the one i am told i would need. Too bad its like $120. Eh, not that important. Just would be nice to have the controls work again.
Thanks,
Matt
