Now that you guys have helped decide what i want to buy - i need to know about installation. I am going to buy black painted pacesetter long tube headers for my '99Z28 6spd. How difficult is the installation? I don't care how long it takes as i am about to have summer vacation from school. Do i need to weld anything?
i have a friend it took him about a day n a half in his garage. but it was worth it in the end.. other words its gonna be a bitch.

hey thanks - i checked out the walk through and it doesn't look as bad as i thought. I am going to order the headers in a few weeks and go for it!

No problem, it was a huge help for myself.

It took me 4-5 hours. It isn't too bad, plus it makes spark plug changes SO much easier.

did mine with the y-pipe in about 6.5 hours......my friend has a hoist so it was much easier.....if you have access to a hoist i would suggest that and make sure you use stock manifold gaskets not the napkins they send in the kit!!

Me and a buddy did it in 8 hrs in the garage. We would have been done in 5.. but ran into an issue getting the ORY pipe to fitup.
That time included lunch... and a few beer breaks!
