some fun with an 04 evo

well i had my first little run in with an stock 04 evo. it was a two lane road (one lane each way) and he was tailgating me which i hate so i do what i always do slow down to piss them off lol. i brought it down to 45ish from 65 then i noticed it was an evo, it was nighttime, so i put it in third and gun then let up just a bit to see if he'd bit. he did so when i saw me start to creep up i nailed it again the a4 dropped into second and to my suprise i stopped his pull and gained maybe a car to around 90. needless to say it wasnt a REAL race but it was still it was fun.

oh yea a got a 93 z28 k&n intake, vortec intake elbow, tb bypass, high flow cat, hooker cat back and thats it

Still a surprising outcome. I've had several runs with stock'ish LTI F bodies and never had a problem. My only mod is a turbo back exhaust. I guess their cars don't run as well as yours. Great kill, stay safe.

Still, AWD is nothing but a disadvantage from a roll, considering parasitic loss and such.

Yeah I know if my car was FWD/RWD it would be a lot better from a roll-on but as it sits now it still kicks ass! The EVOs suck so bad top end from the factory because the boost bleeds from 19 to 16 and the stock cams dont make it better. I had those stock cams out my car at 3800 miles LOL

well plugs and wires were done a year ago 80ish grand on it. I just broke 100 grand so thats a fairly fresh tune up for these cars and the new tranny has under 1000 miles on it so the car is pulling better now than it was when i got it at 61 grand. I've beaten the only 2 other lt's I've raced so i guess i have a fairly strong runner:burnout:
