TC keeps locking and unlocking...Why?

I just had a rebuild and installed a 3000 vilgilante. I have not had a tune done since. When I am cruising I never know when the tc will lock up but it always does. Sometimes very soon after getting in O/D. The problem is that is won't stay locked and I don't know why. It even does it with cruise control on and at almost any rpm not only near the stall speed. Why is this??? And more importantly what can I do about it??? Will a tune correct this??? Is it related to engine temp with a low temp thermostat??? Or is it normal???

sounds like you just need a tune.

I am hoping that is all that is needed to fix it. I want to find a tuner that will do more than just idle and wot adjustments but also make the car much easier to drive daily.

Anyone have any other ideas?

I know there are a bunch. I have been to MTI before for computer work and the tech there know his stuff. The problem is MTI is way over an hour away and would like to find someone as good but more local. I have had work done at G-force motorsports but was very unimpressed with the way they do business. Anyone know of any other tuners on the southside of Houston?
