My Volant CAI, the dual cone filter type, for my 99 TA that I ordered came in and was wondering if anybody had any tips or things to watch out for when installing it.

I really hope that I just got a misformed piece. I love the idea behinde the system. But for the friggin price I expect it to fit like a glove. Not need hours of shaving and cutting.

The weather cleared up and I got it on. I took a dremel to the box and made some notches because i was having clearance issues between the bottom screws on the maf and the back of the box. I also ended up stripping the clamp that holds the piece onto the maf opening a little so I am going to see if I can find a beefier one at home depot or something, otherwise I probably will try to put the clamp from the stock system on it if it starts to slip.

well after driving it for awhile, i checked it and the pipe conecting to the maf slips. It still is conected but I dont think it is sealing very well if can be moved by hand like it is. I am going to get a new clamp but does anybody have any ideas if it is still a problem
