I am sorry if this was posted earlier I had a comptuer glitch. I was wondering if when I change my thermostat do I have to do anything else . I have a predator programmer . Do I have to change anything in that or is it as simple as swapping it out and what will be the hp difference if any? I really do apologize for the double post.

Probably no HP difference.
You probably want to lower the temp. your fans kick on though with that thermostat.

Opinions vary.
I have one. My fans are also set to turn on when the thermostat opens at 160 degrees.
Some say they are pretty pointless on the LS1 since it cools so well. I have heard they stay too cool. Maybe just have your fans set to kick on lower and keep the stock thermostat.
You have options. I have an iron block in my car, so anything to help it stay cooler I will do.

Get a 180 degree thermastat. Cooler temps squeeze out a horse or two ,but you dont want it to cold or it might crack your block if you gun it and your engine is not properly heated up. The lower temp also gives longer engine life. Thermastats are also very cheap.:)
