low oil pressure ??

I have a 1998 Z28 M6 and im currently running mobile 10-30 and when its warmed up at idle the pressure is around 35 psi. im not sure why but that seems a little low so i was just wondering if thats what everyone elses runs at. was also possibly thinking of running 10-40 for the summer is that to thick?

Mines about 35 also at running temp idle....give or take some. I'd stay with 30 weight...but there's a huge thread called oil junkie that you can read, lots of good info in there.

whew...good to know its normal. had me paranoid for a while. never noticed it running down that low until after i took it to the track so i thought i fukked somthin up.

Being that Mobil 1 is fully synthetic, its easier to pump and therefore flows through the engine better. Hence the reason for the slightly lower oil pressure ;)

It says in the owners manual that anything between 20PSI and 80PSI is fine as well.
