SLP Loudmouth Question

Hey all,

Before i buy the SLP LM I system, how loud is it reallllly?

.....loud enough to make people aware its a 5.7 at idle or 'obnoxious to the point u can't hear the engine or emergency vehicles'- loud? lol

I've been through ls1sounds.com and the prob is the mics have a self atenuator so your not getting the full effect, only the exhaust tone....in person does it have any deepness to it , or is it just screaming all the time?

I'm chaging from my Magnaflow to the SLP because I had full intentions of goin for LTs and ORY, but I'm moving to CA and I can't deal with there emissions laws so i'm leaving the stock manifolds and Y on and just opening it up cat-back.

What does everyone think?

I dunno about loud mouth one?? i would imagine that is loud as hell exspecially if you have long tubes and y pipe. But i just put loudmouth 2 on my car and i love it not to loud at idle or cruzing not bad at all. But at wide open it has a great sound.

I have the L/M 1 and it is bad ass with L/T's and ORY but it has too much rasp running throught he gears at 2500-3000. With my cam at idle it really sounds good WOT sounds good. Cruising sounds good it is just at that RPM raonge that it gets on my nerves. Borla XR1 Race muffler gonna cure that for me. SOunds good though Mani and cats. Go for it.

Its pretty dam loud. I have it on my car. trust me, no matter where you go, ppl will turn and look, its the kinda exhaust that says "hey look at me" everytime you take off. Although its not so loud itll drain out the radio and u can hear ur passenger, just have to speak a little louder. NOW lm with LT's is totally another story

if you have an automatic you will hate it on the highway, the drone is rediculous.

I have the LM1 and my car is an automatic... I drive alot on the highway and if you use cruise control its really not unbearable. Granted I'm only 21 but i think it sounds awesome.

It's a 6spd, the LM II i have now sounds great, at times i wish it was a little more agressive sounding..but the LM I resonator arrives tuesday,.NICE...

btw could i get pulled over if this thing is too loud? any one have that prob.....its on stock mani's and y pipe

Naw I never got pulled over with my LM1. I had it with stock exhaust manifolds, stock cats, and SLP y-pipe. People on the street definitely look your way. It's an awesome sound. I never got tired of it. No way I'd recommend one with LT's and ORY. Now the I'm getting LT's and high flow catted Y with my LM2.

It's not obnoxiously loud. When I put mine on, it wasn't loud enough. So I added a cutout. Now it sounds damn good.

I have l/m 1. I love it, me personally I love how loud it is. Now im just waiting for my long tubes. Its a great buy!!!

My friend has LT and a LM, and it sounds nasty. Im not sure wut kinda headers though?? Its so fucking loud and commands attention. Its the type of exhaust note that says "get the fuck outta my way". To be honest i think the LM by itself is really quiet. Until u bring up the revs i cant hear it being unbearably loud like some say, but hey thats just me.

I had it on mine with LT and Y with no cats. The car has a cam and heads and it was horrible I took it off a week after I traded for the car and put Magna Flow on and it wasway better. If you buy it keep your Magna Flow till you decide if you like it. I had a prosteet mustang that went 9.38 and never had the police here and with the LM1 they were here asking about the race car. My friend put it on his car with cats and stock manifold and it was not bad.

i have it w/ the SLP LT's Y pipe and loudmouth stage 1..i love it..its got all the attention grabbin sounds..plus at WOT its says..* COME GETCHA SOME* and when you pipe someobdy..it CLEARLY states..you better be ready..

I had the LM1 for two years.

As I continued modding the car, the sound continued to get worse and worse.
When I was running stock manifolds and cats it sounded GREAT!!
Then I added LT's with hi-flow cats. Got WAY too raspy. Lost the good V8 sound. Wasn't deep anymore either.

When I added a cam....I ended up cutting off the loudmouth. :lol: Sounded more like a ricer than a LS1. The only RPM it sounded good at was idle.
