best times @ 1/8th track, 2.05 60 ft, 8.55 1/8th, 82.77 mph

What difference am I likely to see down the track? I hope alot better 60ft times, all the passes so far have been with nitto street tires. I'm anxious to hear what everyone has to say...

make sure to footbrake that TC as high as you can and you should see much better 60's.. 2.05 is pretty good right from the get go but you should see around 1.6-1.8 I woudl imagine. Every track is different though. what is your stock gearing?

The stock gearing is 3:26.

I cancelled the 3:42's I ordered and changed it to 3:73's

good idea.. you would not have seen much of a difference with those 3.42s. I almost went with them but my stock gearing was 2.73 and when I just up to 3.73s it was really noticable.. track and gas mileage wise lol.

With your hypertech are you changing the the tranny settings at all? when you get that stall in there if you arent doing a shift kit right away then you should also go ahead and tighten those up. It will help your tranny from slipping and causeing heat which you are gunna need to make up for since you are gunna be running hotter with that TC

I had a simular setup in my old 99 A4. I droped a good .6 tenths off my 1/4 time with the 3500 stall I had. When I did a bit of weight reduction in the front of the car and did full suspension I droped it another .5 tenths. I was running 13.3's on stock tires on 2.0-1.9 60fts. Installed headers, full exhaust and 3.73's, and a 3500 stall and went 12.64 w/1.8 ish 60fts with drag radials. Then did some weight reduction and full suspension to run a best of a 12.26 on a 1.64 60ft.

I hear alot about the suspension mod's. This is the first late model Camaro I've fooled with. Can someone tell me what direction to head with the suspension. Parts, vendors... best to have a one stop shop and buy all.

Also, my car still sits in stock trim, I need to shed some weight. What needs to go? I don't plan on driving the car much, and I need to stay streetable. I like to take the wife out on weekends and play a bit.

Good question and one that tends to be ignored by quite a few people. This is what I suggest. If you don't mind loosing a little bit of driveablility.

Weight Reduction:
Remove front sway bar
Remove AC belt
Remove AC Compressor and pullies
Remove AC Condensor (this will also open up alot of space for incoming air)
Remove front bumper support
Relocate battery to the trunk
Remove rear seats + tire and jack

Suspension:
Spohn Race Rear Sway Bar
Spohn Adjustable Torque Arm (set at 2 degrees pinion angle)
Reinforced Control Arms
Relocation Brackets
3.73's (auto) 4.10's (M6)
Upgraded Tranny Mount
Hal 8 way adjustable shocks
V-6 Camaro springs for the rear (can get at pep boys)
Tubular K-member
Tubular A-arms (upper & lower)
Strutt Tower Brace

Thats about what I had on my last car, it was an auto with a 3500 stall. I was nailing 1.64 60ft's with plenty of room for improvement. Im almost posative with a little more practice I could have had her down in the 1.5's with only boltons running in the high 11's.
