It comes w/ tan interior(I wanted dark interior)18 inch chrome wheels, exaust, xenon body kit, ebach springs, white gauge cluster. anyways I think the guy was sking for 14500 but blue book shows 11820. car looks mint. How much would you guys pay?Sounds like a keeper?yeh or neh?:dunno:

Just bought a 99 SS vert M6 with 70k for $10,500 Owner started out at $14,500. He got brought back to reality quickly. SS deals are out there. You gotta just be patient and look. Most are advertised way too high IMO. Plus anything older than 00 your probably NOT gonna want the financing term and rate. You can finance an 01 for 48 months and an 02 still for 60 months at most lending institutions. Otherwise you'll need cash. Owners who are selling SS's older than 00 really can't afford to pass on a REAL buyer if they are in a bind financially. Just remember that YOU are in control. It's YOUR money. You offer them what you think it's worth to you. If they don't like the offer then leave a number they can get ahold of you. They will soon realize that they are overpriced and nobody is stepping up to pay what they want and call you. Also go for what you want. If you settle you'll always have some level of disappointment.

Yeah there's no way I'd pay that much for a car with 70k on it...10.5k is a hell of a deal though

My advice is to shop around and don't lose patience because the deals come right after you make a bonehead move because you can't wait

Stick with it.........IT'S WORTH IT!!!!

WOW!from 14500-10500.how the hell did you get him to drop the price that low?I think that's below the kbb. I am just impatient about it. I just went to the bank yesterday and they pre-aproved me for a 17500 loan( I don't want to spend more than 15K)so now that I have the loan I am looking all over the place for my car and yes... I am ashamed of my self for thinking about settleling for a cobra. It's just so much easier to find good deals on those because they're all over the place.

just haggle, they will come down eventually or they will keep their car. You think people are pricing SSs high, try to get a good low mileage WS6 and you'll love the camaro prices

yeah he's got a good point there i went shopping and found an immaculately clean t/a not ws6 with m6 and 45K and the guy wouldn't come off of the price of 14000 so i kept looking and got a black on black camaro SS 41K m6 for 14500 in the end, mine is very clean but not exceptional my friend got his black on black ss with 21000 and all the orginal stuff including birth certificate, suspension and cooling upgrades and is so clean looking it makes me sick and he got his for 16000. SO DUDE SHOP AND DON"T SETTLE, be competitive. No matter how bad you have to have it walk away. I know a guy (not a friend) who has a 6.0L ls1 that will run high tens easy but he doesn't know what he has in the slightest. I drove it and it is scary fast. he wants 14000, the a/c isn't working correctly and it has 39K so hook it up dude!!! Oh and shop in texas...I'm from LA up the road but i can't get good deals unless i get something out of texas

See that might be a problem because I'ts going to be a bitch to finance a out of state car. There is a guy who I was e-mailing about his car(different guy than who I first post). He is selling his NBM-99SS-53550mi for 14950 and lives about 1hr. away. I e-mailed him saying it was to much and over the kbb and the guy thinks he has it underprice if anything because they don't make camaros anymore. It's been almost a month and the car hasnt sold.He keeps on messing w/ the pricefrom 15950-16300 and I was thinking maybe I should go and check it out maybe offer him a bit more than what it's worth(13k) see what he says. if he dosen't take my offer leave my info. and hopefully he will take his head out of his ass and call me.How much would be a fair pricefor this car?

Well it depends like i said my buddy's paint on his is flawless and he had all the original stuff with upgrades and everything, i would defintly go look at it! Dude it might be so clean you will freak out, if it's nothing spectacular pass it up. But i would say 13500 tops but i could see spending 14 if you just have to have it right then, but fight that urge man it may not be worth it.

FYI. I did buy a brand new 2000 SS with Ts and a hurst. Ordered it in black. Took 3 months to get in. And get this MR. Balls, I paid $26,850 for it. Ya $500 over invoice. So needless to say I've got 2 SS's. One vert and one T-top. I bought the vert because it seemed like a good deal and the wife wanted it too. My t-top has only 18k on it while the vert has 70k so I'm modding that one alot more. I'm only the second owner of the vert and the guy I bought it from is in his late 50s. I doubt he railed on as much as you would have.

wicked illusions,

Auto trader has a red 2000 WS6 in San Antonio listed at $18,900 or something. T-tops M6 with only 23k. I had dialogue with the guy and told him I'm in the $14,900 range for it. He said $15,500. Doesn't seem to bad of a deal. He even offered to drive up to Ft. Worth for me. Then I found the vert locally and it was very nice and the wife wanted a vert so I bought that instead. I bet he still has it. He might be primed for $14,900 now. Fly in and drive home. His name is Greg.

The guy was a lawyer and he had to pay in big to taxes this year(he made too much). He also had an 05 vette and I'm sure that set him back some too. He just said the Camaro must go. He had people interested and trying to get financing but it was really hard for lending institutions to finance a 7 year old car. I looked at the car twice and drove it once. I offered him $10k cash. We settled on $10,500. It's not perfect. After all it does have 70k on it but it's nice. It gets waaaay more looks then my T-top SS.
Be patient with your dough. Get what you want and spend only what you need to get it.

if youre approved for 17,500 you have it made. i got my 2000 SS, one owner car w/21,000 miles, from a guy up in Michigan for $15,000, last Sept. Car came loaded, leather, 6sp, t-tops, ASR, new Nittos all around w/315-35-17 Nitto Drags in the rear, i mean everything. Car was clean as could be, stored indoors, car 5 years old with 21k ment only 4k+ in driving. keep your eyes open and you will come across a great car at the right price. HuskerZ1 is right spend only what you absolutely need to, i talked the guy down from 17,900 to that 15k without even seeing the car (bought it off EBay). i have not looked back since i got the car. i love it! Don't ever be afraid to bargin down and stand firm when you do. and yes cash talks so when any seller knows they can have the money that day or the next you can take off about 10% of the asking price up front. Negotiate the price down if you need things like tires, brakes, A/C recharged, etc. or if the seller will do those before you aquire the car, let them, its less for you in the end. hope this helps.

wicked illusions:

you might have a misconception about financing a vechile that you purchase from out of state. if you have been approved, in most cases your lending institution will provide you with a check that you then write out to the seller of the vehicle (they are paid in full with that check). when that check gets cashed/deposited, yuor lending institution is then notified and thats when your payemnts start (to your lender). you are done with business between you and the seller and now its between you and your lender to make the payments to them/binding to their contract you agreed to. likewise, your lender then becomes a lein holder on the title of the car. if you sell the car before you pay it off you have to have the lein holder sign the back of the tilte and get it notorized in the state that the car ends up being titled, and registered in, along with your signature as well to present to the new owner'buyer of the car. i would say atleast 75% of cars bought by people come from out of state. i got my finanacing through HSBC, they sent me a check in the mail, i bought the car from a guy in Michigan, sent him the check and when the car was transported down, it came with the title and all the paper work. from there it was getting the car state inspected and then titled in the state of TX. they (the seller) got all the money and now im making the payments to HSBC monthly until i pay the car off. thats basically how a lending institution operates. im not always right though so anyone is free to expand my knowledge base...

I got lucky and was able to do both :D! My car was brand new and I raped Chevorlet and got it for 12,500. With taxes, extras, and everything I think it came to 14,000. Luckily I had a friend that worked there as a salesman and hooked me up.
