Monsoon skipping in my '95 T/A. Opinions please.

Should I buy an after market deck?
I was thinking of buying a newer monsoon deck from a 2000-2002 TA.
The cd's skip so bad it drives me insane. I like having the original system in my car.
I'll try cleaning it first and see if that helps any.
Your opinions are welcome!

The factroy HU is a total POS and replacing it with another POS makes no sense to me. If you read enough posts here and on other forums you'll soon see that the POS factory HU is VERY unreliable and fails ALL the time. Go with a much higher quality after-market HU instead.

My '01 T/A has the same problem with skipping when it has been playing for awhile. Too much heat?? Maybe, because it plays fine again after letting it sit for an hour. Just a recent experience on a trip.

Yeah, I know I can by the interface for those to use the steering volume and stuff. I will look into it.
