Works best when programmed to have the fans kick on at 160 degrees.

With a handheld tuner or bring it to a real tuner.

'01's supposedly came with a 180, think mine was stamped 86*C. I have the 160 with them set at 184/175 and 194/185 with LEDs so I can see them come on. I think setting the fans at 160 will make them run all the time - mine already do on a 80* day unless I'm on the interstate. Just to be sure you know - your temp gauge will read the same on the '99 and up.

I've heard some swear by them, and some say just reprogram the fans, and some say that is too cold, get a 180. I haven't really heard the best top final answer of all time yet. The guy I bought my car from supposidly has a 180 in it but like NBM said, mine reads the same.

I have a 160 and around town my temps are the same as with a stock thermostat. Only on the highway does it run cooler. You have to have the fans reprogrammed or get a fan switch to run cooler around town.

On the highway mine runs cooler also with the 160.
