View Full Version : Driveshaft Cover?

Getting under my 02 Z28 I noticed there is a cover which conceals the driveshaft, looking on the web I see no pictures of F bodies with this on :thinkin: , does everybody just take it off or did some years not come with this:confused:

Sorry, don't have a digtal cam to post a pic but I'll see if I can borrow one. Yes it covers the ENTIRE driveshaft I couldn't even tell you what the driveshaft looks like, it's a beefy piece of metal for sure. I thought it was strange myself, and it's not an aftermarket piece as this car is showroom stock w/ 8k on it.
Does any else's Camaro or Firebird have this???

Is it the stock Torque Arm, It is a support arm that run from the rear axle to the back of the tranny . The stock Torque arm looks like a large C shaped piece of stamped steel:dunno:

:sillyme: Yea your right I feel like a complete idiot I've only had this car a few weeks and I've only been looking at the car underneath without it lifted up, haven't gotten my floor jack yet as I only have bottle jacks for my trucks, just every time I look at it thats how it appeard to be, I really feel dumb now.
