My friend is selling me his TCI Highstall converter for $325. It was only used for a few months before being taken out, and it's supposed to be in perfect condition (he is very trustworthy). I was talking to some other people and they said that TCI is pure garbage and it will most definately destroy the tranny, they said spend 1g and go with a Vigilante. The TCI is a 3000 stall and is perfect for what i'm looking for. Anyone heard good or bad about TCI? Does this one sound like a good deal?

you may have already made a decision but I went with a TCI 3500. I love it so far. I've heard good and bad about TCI and others as well.

I got a Midwest to save some $$$. I really wish I would've waited and got either a Yank or a Vigilante. It just didn't meet my expectations, after hearing how much converters helped others.
