Just did myne the other day. Just used some automotive paint. They are not black, they are more like a dark dark silver.

I painted my 11" ZR1's silver with Duplicolor and thier clearcoat rattlecans. I took my time doing it, putting on light coats and it turned out pretty good.

Powder Coat

I had my wheels painted, and its HARD to keep them clean and blemish free. I had them done in january and one has a nice chip in it already. So I'm a little weary of paint, powdercoating might be the way to go. I went paint because i wanted a polished lip and thats tough/impossible with powdercoat.

I would use powder coat. It is real easy to have a polished lip with powder coat, I've done it several times.
