You shouldn't have any issues with the motor holding a 100 shot aslong as you use all the safety stuff, like a window switch, fuel pressure safety switch, and colder set of plugs.

I also have a 2000 ss with a 224 cam and a loudmouth with a ls1 edit tune and a 125 wet shot. the car is making 466 rwhp and 525 rwtq and the car just hit 89000 miles. I have had no problems. Just make sure you use all of the right safety stuff.

The ls1 edit has to be done by a experienced ls1 tuner on a dyno. You dont have to use ls1 edit, but make sure you stay away from the hand held programers because those will just advanced your timing, which is what you dont want. Any ls1 tuner should have some sort of computer software they use. For me it cost $500, but its a one time fee. If i ever need to get the car retuned he does it for the cost of dyno time. The blue shroud i just took the original and just painted it. The lid I think is from MTI. The safety stuff is exactly what Matt stated above: Rpm window switch, colder plugs, and possibly a fuel pressure switch.

yeah pretty much so. Ive never believed in those things. They are good to reprogram your speedo if you do a gear swap though.
