i really like the rim choice... good looking ones that you dont see on every gto... but they are too big in my opinion... 18's maybe 19's, but not 20's...
-me
p.s. when you bend a rim on a pot hole... youll understand y they are too big...

The styling of the rim is cool as hell, but wouldn't have gone to a 20! They tend to make a car look as if it's been lifted. To gangster for my Texas roots!

it depends on what you are looking for in your GTO. I think it looks good as a cruiser , but not for a muscle...IMO

Lug Centric or Hub Centric?
I believe they R hub centric...........The Ride is actually not more different than the 18's that came w/ the car. Everyone has an opinion (Thats great).....Telling you though..w/ chrome all the way across the rim (no just lip action) People look and did you take the f@*k off:drivin: ....there like damn

same style rim in an 18 up front and a 19 in the back... thats where it would be at...

Well it looks like you have a spare donut in the back because theres no tire on it really .. you went too far with a 20 on it .. whats the point .. just to say you have 20's on it?? Its pointless you should have at least got the back rim with some lipThese rims would look nice on a hummer or a 90'2 model Caprice ex polica car haha not a fuckin GTO no offense:thumbdn:

yeah they look nice but too big for me. I would never go bigger than 18" but everyone has their own taste. I wouldnt go that big cause they gotta ruin the ride and damn they gotta be heavy as hell and that gto ain't light to begin with!

Actually I did want smaller rims....but these only came in 20 & 22. After consulting a few people (they claim that as long as went w/ a 35 series instead of the 40 form the oringinal 40 series) it would be OK. I check the clearance from the front strut (as i know this is a mjor cocnern) and after the install eveything was fine. I was even surprise to find the ride quality was not compromised (I mean it is a sport car). Rim (20 X 8.5) Tires (225.35.20) The Rim is a Niche N-5. Hell if I can ride on these everyday in Chicago, Anyone would be in love on real streets. Also the lip goes all the way across (easy to clean), even the back side is polished (so there is no brake dust build-up. I did a lil research (not just another ghetto look) for the sake of it.
Enough,

not feelin the rims. way too ricey for me.
But hey, it's your car and you like it. Keep em. In Michigan, those rims would be bent in 1 or 2 days.

Does look a bit out of place, but props for changin it up. Er'thing over here in Oregon is stock, unless you drive a honda; in which case every one has a different body kit.
But honestly, for 20's, it's a good match up. Can't chrome it up too much.

Not feeling it, the rim doesn't have enopugh meat to it...too skinny for the car and size of the rim IMO

Hey Bro...Sorry to say but they don't make cars go fast on Pimp My Ride! 20's are heavy and weight makes you go slow. If you have a fast car don't weigh it down with flash. My opinion though.

looks like the new camaro's rim.
doesn't fit well on a gto, though. very thin spokes make it kinda "wagon wheel"-ish.

Well, well, Since i have been driving it more than a month now, People love the look on the streets. I think the rim change it the perfect addition. U got this wonderful looking car and chrome dual exhaust tips and no other chrome accent on the whole damn car. I was even shocked when a ole timer came by garage and like it. He said the car was a legend and needed some spicing up. Thanks all for ya views and comments.

That's pretty good for a month. I would have thought a rim would have folded like a taco by now going over a bump.

Looks good. How much do the new wheels+ tyres weigh? I note most of the people bagging the cool wheels don't even drive a GTO.

I hit a monster of a pot hole today....I had to pull over to check it out......no bend, no nick, nothing. I am impressed. I guess when people knock me on adding weight. Well weight just paid off. Now seriously i suck. Got add some more hp.

I think the 18's that come with the car are about as large as I'd go.
What did you do with the factory wheels? I have one that hit a curb, got a little scratch that I'd like to replace.

they look pretty clean... in austrailia they've been running 20's for a while on manaros and vx's. i thought it would look odd, but the car seems to swallow them up. if you did not say they were 20s i would have thought 19s at the largest.

Nice car, besides the rims............
Still got my factory 18's for the Chicago Winter. Might have to stop as a everyday runner (salt and snow), but will still ride (when streets are clear).

I'm glad you like them. It looks unique and different and I can see how some would like it. Not my personal taste, but you're driving it.
Just curious, here. What do you mean by "ole timer"? About how old?

Hmmm... Interesting concept. Different wheels for the winter / snow / salt, etc. I never thought of that, though my dad used to put snow tires on the old Dodge Dart.
I'm with you though. I grew up in NYC and just hate that stuff all around, not just on my car. I took a little more drastic action, though... just moved to central Florida.
Sometimes as hot at where... :seesaw: <--- this guy lives. But a/c everywhere, I work indoors and 10 months a year, it's real nice.

Hey your ride man...whatever floats your boat.....
The goal here is to make your car "your car" and personalize it....
These folks were ask their opinion and gave it and thats cool....but be proud of your car man...its your and is unique and carriers a part of you around....
If I had those rims on down here I'd get my ass kicked.
