Negotiating on an 06 GTO Impulse Blue M6

I've been jumping around to 3 pontiac dealerships in my area trying to get an 06 impulse blue w/blue interior. The best price I can get from all 3 is $33,000 w/ GM incentives. How is it that I read that there are people knocking the price down to <$30,000? Every dealer I visit seems so stubborn about this car. They claim the specific GTO I'm looking for is too rare. How should I go about negotiating the price for this car?

Are you ordering it or is the car actually on the lot? If you are ordering, it is very tough to get a bargain. Dealers do much better with cars on the lot. $33,000 actually isn't bad if you are ordering it just the way you want it. If all 3 dealers have this particular car on their lot, then it isn't that rare and their argument is invalid.
