Hi guys...

I am about ready to put ina six speed behind my 400 but have some questions. It doesn't seem like this section gets alot of action, so if you know of another site where my question will get answered please let me know.

The car is a 400/4 spd w/ pedal assembly still in place. The previous owner took out the muncie and put in a turbo 400 b/cuz he was going to make a drag car. I on the other hand want to make a "g-machine" so to speak and want to put in a 6 spd BUT how do I know which ones are compatible or should I say the easiest to mate up? Will six speeds from vette's work?

thanks in advance guys.

I hate to say it, but LS1TECH.COM has a much better older car section. I am looking to put an LS1 into my 1974 camaro protouring project and I found they have a section just for these things. I was kind of hoping that I could find out more here with little luck, but it has been great for finding out things for my 2001 WS6 firebird. I am trying to get as much info as I can so I don't have to spend a small fortune on trial and error, with the price of freight to alaska it would make me broke. I would check with Keisler at keislerauto.com They make a complete bolt in kit. Tranny, cross member, bellhousing, driveshaft. They have both a 5 speed and a 6 speed kit. These are the guys I was going to get mine from when the time comes. They even say they will hold up to over 650 ft-lbs. I hope this helps with the projects.
