Hi EVIL, if you are were around here I'd do it for you. I've had to do those on my and two of my friends cars. Easy but annoying that they didn't put better motors in. Keep in mind that the "free fix" works temporarily. The brass gears work temporarily too. The gear itself is a great piece I have two. It's the motor design that is the problem. It is a metal motor attached to a plastic gear housing for lack of a better description. The motor is attached by 4 tabs bent around the plastic. When they are new...they don't move a bit. When they get older the tabs get weaker and move a little. This allows the metal worm drive from the motor to move away just enough that it strips the plastic gear in the housing. If yours made a GRRRRRR noise and then stopped that is your issue if it just doesn't move with no noise then you may have actually had the motor go out and not just the gear. I'm all too familiar with them..let me know if you need help although with all the stuff you've done to that car...I doubt it! Good Luck!
