Hey guys I have a 91 camaro, that I want to put an lt1 in. Can anyone give me some insight on what all I have to do to put this thing in. I have heard that it is a straight swap, but just wondering to how much truth there is to that? And if your wandering the reason why im using an lt1 and not an ls1 is because i already have the lt1 on hand.

No it is NOT a straight swap! My buddy has a 92 RS that he started putting an LT1 in around 1998, he pretty much gave up on it and it's just sitting now. I know there are people who know how to do it, but back then there weren't many and everyone wants a shitload of money to do it. I really wish he'd get it finished but he just bought a house and I don't think it'll ever get done. He started out having some shop do the work and the guy basically disappeared. Took his money and the original 305 (sold it) and then ran off cause he had warrants or something. Then he had several others say they could do it, only to find out they didn't know what they were doing. If it were a straight swap, any yokle could do it.....
