T56Rebuilds.com offers a kit and it comes with a LS2 flywheel. Is the LS2 flywheel needed or is it lighter/better than the LS1 flywheel? Also, how much torque can the LS7 clutch hold?
Thanks,
Frankie

the LS7 clutch needs a flywheel that has raised mounting points on the flywheel. It's not a flat disc like an LS1 f.w. A corvette ls2 f.w. is thew one you need, GTO is different. BTW, the LS7/ LS2 clutch/ F.W. is 8 lbs heavier than a stock LS1 setup.
I just put in the LS7 setup and I'm much happier than I was with the old Spec stage 3 and aluminum F.W. setup!

I figured there was a difference. Hows the pedal, is it heavier?
