I cant stand how horrible the paint is on my 05 gto...phantom black..it looked amazing when i first got it..then after 11,000 miles of highway driving its took its tolls, oh yeah...2 small screw holes from somebody elses liscense paint doesnt help either...but i wont go there...getting a beater car in a month so ill be able to keep the goat for weekend drives here and here

so anyway, the big quesiton is...
fix everything and repaint

1. stock phantom black metallic

or

2. repaint the car in a color very similar to ferrari gunmetal metallic...all the door jams and trunk jams and everything...just leaving the engine bay black...

heres a f430 pic for the color in trying to aim for..if i have the color wrong please let me know...

Hey man...yup the stock paint sucks...I clay barred the crap out of my phantom black ....and got some good results.....using MaGuires 3 step stuff after the claybar....however it still sucks :)
I also have plans for a paint job whenever I finish the mods in 2012...:) LOL
That color would look really great on your 05....
